Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Arrival & City Tour

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), previously known as Saigon. Just one generation ago, HCMC was a war zone. But now, the city has transformed to become a dynamic commercial hub with modern skyscrapers and lively streets. Upon arrival, our friendly guide and driver will warmly welcome you and take you to your hotel, followed by a delightful lunch.

Afternoon:
It’s time to discover some of the most iconic spots in HCMC! We’ll embark on insightful history tours at the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum, which document significant milestones of Vietnam’s history, particularly the war period from 1955 to 1975. Following this, we’ll visit the Central Post Office, renowned for its stunning colonial French architecture with elements of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The next site is Notre Dame Cathedral, the symbol of HCMC, which reaches a height of up to 60 meters. Later, if time allows, we’ll visit the bustling Ben Thanh Market, where you can browse local goods and soak in the lively atmosphere. Afterwards, the day is all yours to explore the hustle and bustle of HCMC!

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels

Morning:
Today, you’ll get a closer look into the Vietnam War with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an extraordinary underground network stretching over 200 kilometers. Built by the Viet Cong during the war, these tunnels played a crucial role in Vietnam’s fight for independence. Explore the narrow passageways and hidden chambers while gaining insight into the resilience and ingenuity of the Vietnamese people during wartime. After the tour, savor a delicious lunch featuring local specialties at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:
After lunch, return to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Take this free time to explore the bustling streets, unwind at a café, or discover more of the city’s rich cultural and historical landmarks.

Day 3: Mekong Delta - Ben Tre & Can Tho

Morning:
Your journey to Ben Tre begins with a drive to Phong Nam. Reaching Phong Nam Bridge, you’ll board a boat to cruise along the Chet Say River, where the busy waterway reveals local life in motion—boats laden with goods and endless rows of coconut palms stretching along the river. The first stop takes you to traditional brick kilns, where local artisans still practice brickmaking, and then observe the process of producing coconut charcoal. There will be fresh coconut water to refresh as you continue to Cai Son Canal, a quiet waterway lined with peaceful riverside scenes. We’ll pay a visit to a coconut candy workshop, where you can sample warm, freshly made treats with honey tea and seasonal fruits. The journey continues through Nhon Thanh Village, where you’ll witness the art of mat weaving and travel along the quiet village roads by xe-lôi (a motorized rickshaw) or bicycle. After a fulfilling morning, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:
The journey resumes with a chilling sampan boat ride through coconut-shaded canals, offering a closer glimpse of life along the waterways. Returning to Hung Vuong Dock, your driver will be ready to take you to Can Tho. Along the way, make a stop at the renowned Vinh Trang Pagoda, a beautiful and historic temple known for its striking architecture and peaceful atmosphere. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Can Tho. The rest of the day is yours to explore.

Start the day with a boat ride from Ninh Kieu quay, cruising along the winding canals of the Mekong Delta. The journey leads to the lively Cai Rang floating market, where local traders on wooden boats exchange fresh fruits, vegetables, and other goods. As you navigate through the market, observe the daily routines of those living along the waterways and immerse yourself in these beautiful scenes. After the market visit, return to the hotel for check-out before heading to a local restaurant for a taste of regional specialties.

After lunch, there’s time to relax and explore at your own pace before departing for Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive in the city by early evening, and the rest of the day is yours to unwind or discover more of Ho Chi Minh City’s vibrant streets and nightlife.
