Itinerary

Morning:
Begin your adventure with a comfortable transfer from your hotel in Hanoi to Cao Bang Province. Upon arrival in Cao Bang City, indulge in a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, savoring authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Afternoon:
After lunch, we will head to Thang Hen Lake, the largest of a 36-lake system as it stretches 2 km long and 500 meters wide, located in the middle of lush jungles and majestic mountains. Its crystal-clear waters stay blue year-round since it is fed by pure water from a cave above, creating an impressive landscape. Next, if the road is inaccessible, you will take a 15-minute trek through grassy fields to reach Angel Eye Mountain. This unique natural wonder, also called “Thủng Mountain”, is known for its 50-meter-wide hole through the center and is surrounded by a beautiful valley, giving it a poetic aura. After exploring these natural marvels, you will be transferred to Ban Gioc, check into your hotel, and enjoy free time to relax or explore at your own pace.

Morning:
Start the day with a local specialty for breakfast before visiting the market, where you’ll experience the authentic daily life and explore fresh produce and handmade goods. The next stop is Ban Gioc Pagoda, offering a breathtaking panorama view of the area and the Ban Gioc Waterfall from above. From there, we will continue to the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall, Vietnam’s widest waterfall, with water cascading 30 meters high and 300 meters across. You will get to take a bamboo boat ride to the waterfall’s base, close enough to feel the refreshing mist. When you’re done admiring the mighty waterfall, we will return to the resort for lunch and relaxation to prepare for an energetic afternoon.

Afternoon:
Your journey will go on with a visit to Nguom Ngao Cave. Inside, you’ll find limestone chambers and formations resembling all kinds of shapes, creating a fantastic and mystical atmosphere. Nearby is the Khuoi Ky Ancient Stone Village, home to 16 Tay ethnic households. The village features stone stilt houses and stone fences from the 16th century, reflecting the Tay people’s belief in the Stone God, who is thought to bring protection and peace. Move on to the next site, Phong Nam Valley and Dam Thuy Suspension Bridge along the Quay Son River, with gorgeous rice fields and jungle-covered mountains. Get out of the car and have a short trek to the local village, where you can experience daily life in the border region. After your adventure, return to the hotel and enjoy your free time to unwind.

Enjoy your breakfast and check out the hotel. Then our guide and driver will pick you up for the journey back to Hanoi. Along the way, we will stop by a local restaurant to have a delicious lunch, offering a taste of the region’s authentic cuisine.
