From hidden alleyways to bustling markets, Hanoi invites you to discover its charm. If you’re in the mood to sample local cuisine, our guide will gladly recommend must-try dishes—perhaps starting with a steaming bowl of ‘Pho,’ the city’s most famous culinary export.

Day 2: Hanoi - Transfer to Ha Giang

Morning:
Your adventure begins with a pickup from Hanoi’s Old Quarter, followed by a scenic drive through the Red River Delta, passing through the peaceful countryside of Viet Tri and Tuyen Quang. Arriving in Tuyen Quang, a charming town known for its rolling emerald tea plantations, you will have the chance to savor the authentic flavors while relaxing in this tranquil setting.

Afternoon:
The journey continues toward Ha Giang, where the scenery transforms into a stunning display of gently rolling hills, serene villages, and vibrant rice fields dotted with graceful palm trees. Along the way, we will stop to visit a traditional village of the Black Tay ethnic people, taking a glimpse into their daily life and rich cultural heritage. Upon arriving in Ha Giang town in the late afternoon, take your time to rest and recharge, preparing for the exciting experiences that await.

Morning:
Wake up early, start the day with a beautiful sunrise over the mountain then head for breakfast to fuel up for the day. Our first stop is Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate, a stunning viewpoint offering panoramic views of the mountains and the Twin Fairy Mountains, a symbol of Ha Giang. We will travel along winding roads, passing lush valleys and terraced rice fields, before stopping in Tam Son, a charming mountain town, to enjoy a delicious local lunch.

Afternoon:
You will visit the Hmong King’s Palace (Vuong Palace), a historic mansion that once belonged to the influential Vuong family. The palace features a unique blend of Chinese, French, and Hmong architecture, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich cultural heritage. The journey continues through the Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO Global Geopark famous for its dramatic limestone landscapes and geological significance. Upon arrival in Dong Van, you will check into your hotel and have time to relax in this historic mountain town, surrounded by stunning natural scenery. Indulge in a delightful dinner at a local restaurant and have a taste of authentic regional specialties.  Afterward, enjoy your free time exploring the Dong Van Old Quarter. If the day falls on the weekend, you will have the chance to participate in local cultural activities.

Today, we set off for an epic adventure! But first, if you’re lucky to be here on a Sunday, head to Dong Van market for an energetic morning with ethnic minority communities. On another day, we can arrange a visit to Lui Market for another chance to experience the vibrant local trade and culture. From there, we will start to conquer Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most jaw-dropping mountain roads. At 1,200 meters above sea level, this 20km stretch delivers breathtaking views of rugged peaks and deep, peaceful valleys. We will make a stop at Ma Pi Leng Skywalk, a thrilling cliffside path offering unbeatable aerial views of the limestone mountains and the winding Nho Que River. Next up, we will come down to the Nho Que River for a boat tour through Tu San Canyon, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. Surrounded by emerald waters and towering cliffs, it’s a scene straight out of a postcard. Wrap up the morning adventure in Meo Vac Valley with a flavor-packed local lunch.

Afternoon:
We will begin to return to Ha Giang, soaking in the last glimpses of the magnificent landscapes along the way. Once arrive, check into your hotel for a restful stay.
