Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival

In the late morning, our chauffeur collects you from your hotel and transfers you to Gia Lam Station. Settle into the VIP lounge, enjoy a refreshing drink, and let our team handle all formalities. By noon, step aboard SJourney and savor a refined lunch as the train glides past rice fields, villages, and river landscapes of Northern Vietnam. The afternoon invites quiet moments of relaxation in your Indochine-style cabin or by the panoramic windows. At dusk, pause at a local station for an intimate cultural performance before returning for a your dinner.

Day 2: Sapa

Morning:
Arrive in Lao Cai for breakfast before driving to Sapa, a mountain town embraced by cool mist and terraced hills. Begin with the Muong Hoa Mountain Train, a short ride but offering views across rice fields, flower valleys, and hillside villages through panoramic glass windows. Continue your ascent on the Fansipan Cable Car, suspended above forests and clouds. At the summit, stand on the “Roof of Indochina,” where endless mountain ranges and drifting clouds create a breathtaking natural masterpiece.

Afternoon:
After a tranquil lunch, follow the poetic Muong Hoa Valley to Lao Chai village. Surrounded by rippling terraces and wooden stilt houses, discover the daily rhythms of ethnic minority communities and the timeless beauty of rural life. As twilight settles on the mountains, you return to your luxury train. Savor a fine dinner in the bistro car before retiring to your private cabin.

Day 3: Halong Bay

Morning:
After breakfast onboard, the day continues with a transfer from Hai Phong Station to Quang Ninh, where the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay await. From the port, board a private cruise that glides into this UNESCO World Heritage site. Limestone peaks rise dramatically from the sea, their shapes sculpted by centuries of wind and tide.

Afternoon:
The journey flows further into Lan Ha Bay, a quieter realm of hidden caves, sheltered lagoons, and calm waters. At Sang Cave, kayaks and bamboo boats slip under a low stone arch into a world of stillness. Further out at Ao Ech, the bay opens to crystal waters, perfect for swimming, floating, or simply admiring the horizon from the deck. Afternoon tea is served on cruise as the sun descends, with the jacuzzi steaming gently beneath an open sky. Back aboard SJourney in the evening when your farewell dinner is already ready to be served.
