Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Vibrant, inviting, and delightful – the city reveals itself with your first glimpse of scooters whizzing through the streets. Yet in contrast to the city’s modern tempo, the echoes of history still resonate in many architectural sites, reflecting the eras of dynasties and French influence.

No matter your flight schedule, our friendly guide and driver will warmly welcome you upon arrival and take you to your hotel in the city center. Once settling in, you will have a chance to explore Hanoi at your leisure. While no meals have been planned for today, why not fill your stomach with some local dishes? If your taste buds need direction, our guide can introduce to you a Vietnamese restaurant in Michelin Guide.

Day 2: Cao Bang - Angel Eye Mountain

Day 2: Cao Bang - Angel Eye Mountain

Morning:
Wake up early for today because you’ll have a 6-hour ride to the province of Cao Bang. Located in the remote Northeast region of Vietnam, Cao Bang shares a long border of over 300 km with China. This area is not only rich in natural beauty but also steeped in history and culture.

Afternoon:
Upon arriving in Cao Bang, our first stop will be the picturesque Thang Hen Lake. This lake, surrounded by lush jungle and towering mountains, is the largest of a network of 36 lakes, all nestled within the same valley. Unlike many lakes in Vietnam that turn brown during the rainy season, Thang Hen remains a stunning shade of blue year-round, thanks to the clear, pure water that flows from a cave above the lake. Next, we’ll head to the iconic Angel Eye Mountain. This unique geological formation features a 50-meter-wide hole right through its center, resembling an eye that watches over the valley below. Depending on accessibility, we might need to have a short trek to reach this spot, making the experience even more memorable. As the sun sets, we’ll make our way to the hotel, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 3: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfalls

Day 3: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfalls

Morning:
Begin your day with a visit to a bustling market, where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant daily life of the locals. Next, we’ll ascend to the hillside temple of Phat Tich Truc Lam, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you gaze out, you’ll catch a glimpse of our next destination, the UNESCO Natural Site – Ban Gioc Waterfalls. Did you know that, at 30 meters high and spanning 300 meters across, Ban Gioc is the largest waterfall in Vietnam? Here, you’ll have the chance to hop on a bamboo boat, getting close enough to feel the mist and capture that perfect, once-in-a-lifetime photo.

Afternoon:
Our adventure continues with a visit to Nguom Ngao Cave, renowned for its vast limestone chambers and intricate corridors. The cave is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites in an array of fascinating shapes, each formed over thousands of years. Nearby, you’ll find Khuoi Ky ancient stone village. The village is a remarkable relic of the 16th century, featuring 14 traditional stone houses on stilts, constructed based on the Tay people’s reverence for the Stone God. As we meander along the Quay Son River, you’ll be enchanted by the lush rice fields and towering jungle mountains. Our journey will conclude with a leisurely trek through the border area’s local village before we return to the hotel.
