Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), previously known as Saigon. Just one generation ago, HCMC was a war zone. But now, the city has transformed to become a dynamic commercial hub with modern skyscrapers and lively streets. Upon arrival, our friendly guide and driver will warmly welcome you and take you to your hotel, followed by a delightful lunch.

Afternoon:
It’s time to discover some of the most iconic spots in HCMC! We’ll embark on insightful history tours at the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum, which document significant milestones of Vietnam’s history, particularly the war period from 1955 to 1975. Following this, we’ll visit the Central Post Office, renowned for its stunning colonial French architecture with elements of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The next site is Notre Dame Cathedral, the symbol of HCMC, which reaches a height of up to 60 meters. Later, if time allows, we’ll visit the bustling Ben Thanh Market, where you can browse local goods and soak in the lively atmosphere. Afterwards, the day is all yours to explore the hustle and bustle of HCMC!

Today, you’ll get a closer look into the Vietnam War with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an extraordinary underground network stretching over 200 kilometers. Built by the Viet Cong during the war, these tunnels played a crucial role in Vietnam’s fight for independence. Explore the narrow passageways and hidden chambers while gaining insight into the resilience and ingenuity of the Vietnamese people during wartime. After the tour, savor a delicious lunch featuring local specialties at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:
After lunch, return to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Take this free time to explore the bustling streets, unwind at a café, or discover more of the city’s rich cultural and historical landmarks.

Day 3: Mekong Delta - My Tho & Ben Tre

Day 3: Mekong Delta - My Tho & Ben Tre

Morning:
Leave the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City behind as you journey to the tranquil countryside of the Mekong Delta. From My Tho Wharf, a small cruise will take you along the Tien River, passing floating fish farms and the striking Rach Mieu Bridge. Our first stop is Thoi Son Island, where you’ll wander village paths, visit orchards, and savor fresh seasonal fruits while enjoying traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music. From there, we continue on a rowing boat through the small canals, soaking in the peaceful river scenery. Make a stop at a honey bee farm to taste honey tea and banana wine. Get back on cruise and go down the Tien River to Ben Tre where we’ll visit the coconut candy factory and traditional handicraft villages. Later, we’ll savor a local lunch filled with all specialties of the Mekong Delta.

Afternoon:
You can ride a bike through the village streets, which offers a closer look at the locals’ daily life. The day concludes with a return trip to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 4: Vung Tau - Day Trip

Morning:
We’ll hop on the car for a 2.5-hour drive to Vung Tau City. The first stop is the historic Lighthouse on Tao Phung Mountain, one of Southeast Asia’s most ancient lighthouses. From here, you can take in panoramic views of Vung Tau’s city and coastline. Continue to the towering Jesus Christ Statue, standing 32 meters tall and recognized as Asia’s largest Christ monument. A climb up 847 steps rewards you with stunning vistas from the statue’s arms. After exploring, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:
The journey continues to Nghinh Phong Cape, known as the “Cape of Welcoming Breeze,” where fresh ocean air and coastal scenery create a perfect place to relax. Here, you’ll discover the Bach Dinh (White Palace), a grand colonial-era mansion built as a retreat for the French Governor of Indochina. To round off the day, unwind on Thuy Van Beach, where soft sands and gentle waves invite you. Later, return to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy the evening at your leisure.
