Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival & City tour

Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival & City tour

Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival, it’s time to explore some of Hanoi’s highlights in the city centre. We’ll start with a visit to Dong Xuan Market, Hanoi’s largest covered marketplace, offering an array of clothing, household goods, and local food. A short walk from here, you’ll have a chance to glimpse the unique Train Street from a distance.

Then, we’ll hop aboard a cyclo and meander through the bustling streets of the Old Quarter, passing by vibrant shops and street food stalls. Our journey continues at Hoan Kiem Lake, the icon of Hanoi, home to Ngoc Son Temple on Jade Island, accessed via The Huc Bridge. Concluding the tour is a complimentary Vietnamese Coffee experience at a hidden local café, where you can savor the specialty ‘Egg Coffee’. Subsequently, enjoy your free time at night.

Day 2: Ninh Binh - Tam Coc & Bich Dong

Morning:
You’ll leave Hanoi for Ninh Binh, often called ‘Ha Long Bay on land’, known for its winding river flowing amidst towering limestone mountains. Upon arrival, you’ll visit Hoa Lu’s two remaining temples, both built with dark-red lacquered pillars. The first, Dinh Tien Hoang Temple, dates back to the 17th century and honors the Dinh dynasty. Inside, you’ll find bronze bells and a statue of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang, with the stone pedestal of a royal throne at the front. The second temple is dedicated to monarch Le Dai Hanh, who had great contributions in building and protecting the country in the 10th century. Later, you’ll enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:
With a satisfied stomach, we’ll hop on a rowboat for a leisurely cruise along Ngo Dong River to Tam Coc, where vast paddy fields stretch out beneath the towering karst mountains. We will end the day with a visit to Bich Dong Grotto. Here, you will witness the stunning beauty of nature blending seamlessly with the ancient charm of Buddhist architecture. Afterwards, we’ll return to Hanoi.

Morning:
Let’s swap city bustle for serene seas today as we’re off on an exciting journey to Ha Long Bay. After a cozy ride in a private car to the port, you’ll check in and board a luxurious cruise, ready to reveal the untouched beauty of this UNESCO-listed natural wonder. Once the captain sets sail, it’s time to fill your tummy with a delicious lunch and feast your eyes with odd-shaped limestone pillars and hidden coves along the way.

Afternoon:
A bamboo boat awaits to cruise you to Pearl Farm, where you can go kayaking for a closer look at the majestic limestone formations. Then, you’ll be gently transferred to Sung Sot Cave, or Surprise Cave, one of Ha Long Bay’s largest caverns adorned with magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. When the sun sets, head back to the cruise for a breathtaking view from the top deck, followed by a traditional Vietnamese cooking class. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner and an overnight stay amidst the exotic landscape of Ha Long Bay.

Day 4: Ha Long Bay - Titov Island

Morning:
Waking up to the sunlight streaming through your windows, your day begins with a Tai-Chi session on deck and a warm breakfast after. Then, the cruise will transfer you to Titov Island, a small limestone island with one of the best sandy beaches in Ha Long Bay. You can immerse yourself in emerald water or hike to the top for stunning panoramic views. Afterwards, take a moment to unwind on deck and soak in the breathtaking landscape of the Ha Long Bay as we cruise back to the shore.

Afternoon:
Once we’re back in Hanoi, depending on the flight schedule, you’ll head to Da Nang in Central Vietnam. Our guide and driver will be there to welcome and take you to your hotel. Later, you can spend the rest of your day enjoying a bit of downtime in this ‘best living city’ in Vietnam.

Day 5: Da Nang - Ba Na Hills

Morning:
Today is all about a visit to Ba Na Hills, where you’ll ride the cable car route holding five world records. As you ascend, make sure to stop at the transit station at Linh Ung Pagoda, Le Jardin D’amour flower garden, and of course, the iconic Golden Bridge, a social media phenomenon since 2018. Once you reach the top of Ba Na Hills, get ready for a whole complex of fun activities suitable for all ages.

Afternoon:
It’s time to explore the charming recreated French Village, complete with old houses, churches, and castles that pay tribute to Ba Na’s discovery by the French in the early 1900s. Then, brace yourself for thrills at the Fantasy Park, Vietnam’s largest indoor amusement park, with a lot of adrenaline-pumping games. And don’t miss your chance to have a furnicular railway ride for breathtaking mountain views before saying goodbye to Ba Na Hills. Afterwards, you will have a chance to explore Da Nang at your leisure. You can see the true essence of local life and buy some souvenirs at Han Market.

Day 6: Da Nang & Hoi An

Morning:
Lace up your shoes because today we’re going to many highlights of Central Vietnam. Our first stop will be Linh Ung Pagoda, where Vietnam’s tallest Goddess of Mercy Statue is located. From there, you’ll be treated to an incredible panoramic view of the entire Son Tra Peninsula, complete with stunning beaches stretching into the distance. We will continue our journey to Hoi An. Along the way, we make a stop at Bay Mau Coconut Forest, where we glide through the serene riverside on a basket boat. You can try some thrilling boat dancing or shop for beautiful handicrafts made from coconut leaves.

Afternoon:
It’s time to explore Hoi An Ancient Town and dive into the elegant beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site. As you wander through the charming alleys, you’ll discover the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, the Chinese Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Ancient House, and the bustling ChinaTown. End up the day with a scenic sunset cruise on Thu Bon River – perfect for capturing stunning photos. The rest of the day will be on your own as the evening invites you to savor its magic beneath the gentle glow of lanterns.
