Travel Sense Asia in AEC Tourism Promotion Trade in Myanmar

From January 16th to January 19th, 2018, Travel Sense Asia successfully participated in the Travel Mart AEC Tourism Promotion Trade in Myanmar, as part of their official tourism promotion trade. Travel Sense Asia is a market leader in catering to customers from Asia, given the increasing trend of global travel. The tourism industry has experienced steady growth in recent years.

International tourist arrivals reached1.235 billion worldwide in 2016, representing a growth rate of 3.9%. Tourism receipts also grew, albeit at a marginally slower pace compared to arrivals, at 2.6%. As of the first six months of 2017, destinations around the globe have welcomed 598 million international tourists. It was signifying a noteworthy increase of 36 million compared to the corresponding period of 2016.

 

 

Tourism in the Asia-Pacific region is notable for its intraregional traffic, which accounts for 80% of the total traffic, a similar percentage in 2015. This trend of regional influence has dominated since 2006, representing 78% of the total traffic. Vietnam has experienced remarkable growth in tourism, with the total number of visitors in 2017 reaching 12,922,151, an increase of 29.1% compared to the previous year. According to the Tourism Department, Vietnam had chance to receive between 15.5 million to 16 million international visitors and serve 75-80 million domestic visitors with a total revenue of 620 trillion in 2018. They classify Vietnam as 6 out of 10 countries with the highest tourism growth rate in the world, taking the lead in Asia. By participating in tourism promotional trades such as WTM, ITB, ITE, and ACE, Travel Sense Asia aims to share the opportunities with travelers interested in visiting Vietnam and Indochina.
